    Appointments are required for Household Chemical Waste Events located at SWALCO's Gurnee Facility to ensure safety & efficiency. Collections are for residential waste only and FREE for Illinois residents. Items include: CFL bulbs, unwanted prescription, over-the-counter medicines and supplements (people and pet), household cleaners, gasoline, garden chemicals, pesticides, oil-based paints (NO LATEX - check out SWALCO's new collection services for latex paint on the website) and varnishes, as well as other household chemicals.   3. Senior Pickleball Tournament

    The Patricia A. Jones Center has partnered with the Waukegan Park District to hold our very first Pickle Ball Tournament. Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Pickleball can be played indoors our outdoors on a badminton sized court and slightly modified tennis net. The game is played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes and is enjoyed by all ages and skill levels!

This volunteer opportunity is for 15 year old and older, as it is on an active highway. Come to North Shore Printers (on the south end of the 'stutz) to get bags, gloves, vests and instructions - then go to your favorite spot or maybe your favorite spot from a movie!
