  6. Earth Day Sunset Vigil

    In 1970, 20 million individuals joined together on April 22nd to call for the world to step-up and care for the environment. This became the world’s first Earth Day. Now, 51 years later, Faith in Place is honoring Earth Day by hosting a Multi-faith Sunset Earth Day Vigil. Last year, over 200 people joined us for a candlelit vigil during the first days of the Covid-19 pandemic. A year later now, we will gather again to honor the earth and the wisdom lent to us from our faith traditions.
