Illinois Department of Transportation has given the notice to proceed to SKC Construction to begin crack and joint sealing work on Illinois Route 137 including the Amstutz Expressway, from the south end of the Amstutz at Genesee/Sheridan to Greenwood Avenue. The tentative start date is Monday, September 25th; the work is projected to be completed in 25 working days. Single lane road closures are expected for the extent of the project, and traffic control signs will be up. Delays may occur and traffic pattern changes may take place during the project.
