December 3rd in Downtown Waukegan will be holiday happening from one end of the Arts & Entertainment District to the other!

The City and Waukegan Main Street are hosting the annual Kris Kringle Market and Tree Lighting.  

Kris Kringle Market will be at Karcher 405 Gallery, 405 Washington Street, from 12 noon to 6pm.  Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot of the Waukegan Business Center just next door at 415 Washington Street.  Find holiday gifts, stocking stuffers and other treasures from our local artists and artisans.

The Tree Lighting will be at 5pm at Jack Benny Plaza and will feature Cooke Magnet School choir and the Waukegan Public School Mariachi band!  Bring the whole family at 4pm for the Waukegan Park District Winter Wonder Walk before the big event.  The Winter Wonder Walk will start and end at Jack Benny Plaza.

In addition to these events, Dandelion Gallery & Studio will host an ornament making workshop at 1pm.  Find out all the details and register at Dandelion Gallery's website.

Brothers Rising MC will host their Annual Toys for Tots drive at the Puerto Rican Society, 150 S. Sheridan Road starting at 12pm.  Entry is a new toy valued at $10 or more.

And last but not least, Three Brothers Theatre will have the play Family Holiday at their 221 N. Genesee Street space and Masters of Sketch Comedy's I Want a Sketchopotamus for Christmas at thei 115 N. Genesee Street space, both starting at 7:30pm
