The City of Waukegan Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Department is seeking eligible applicants that provides direct essential services in addressing the needs of the community as it relates to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). You as the agency must identify the proposed use of all funds and how the funds will be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus.
In an effort to rapidly deploy resources to established public service agencies on the frontlines of the coronavirus outbreak, the City of Waukegan CDBG Department will work with agencies to provide resources and essential human services to individuals and families who are low and moderate income that live in the City of Waukegan.
Community Development Block Grant – CARES Act funds will be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus. This allocation was authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Public Law 116-136, which was signed by President Trump on March 27, 2020, to respond to the growing effects of this historic public health crisis.
