The Board of Education of Waukegan Community Unit School District #60 hereby gives notice that the application for persons desiring to be considered for appointment by the Board to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of School Board Member Michael Rodriguez, may be secured from the Board of Education office at Lincoln Center, 1201 N. Sheridan Road. The person selected will serve until the next regular school election scheduled for April 6, 2021.
A candidate for the position must:
a) be a citizen of the United States;
b) be of the age of 18 years or over;
c) be a resident of the State of Illinois and of the Waukegan Community Unit School District #60 for at least one year; and
d) shall be a registered voter, as provided by the general election law.
The completed application must be addressed to Board President Brandon Ewing at the Office of the Superintendent of Waukegan Public Schools, 1201 N. Sheridan Road, Waukegan, Illinois 60085, and must be received no later than 4pm on Thursday, January 30th, or postmarked no later than Tuesday, January 28th. The Board will notify the applicant of the procedure to be followed for interview.
