The Waukegan Police Department is looking for motivated individuals looking for fulfillment and opportunities in the realm of Law Enforcement. The Waukegan Police Department ‘s authorized strength is 151 sworn officers and over 195 total employees. Our department offers opportunities for experience in all facets of law enforcement including patrol, investigations, traffic, K9, gang intelligence, narcotics, juveniles, bicycle officers and neighborhood policing. In addition, Waukegan police officers also participate with regional task forces with the Federal agencies.
Waukegan is a community rich in history and blessed with a wide diversity of people. Many cultures, religions, ethnic heritages and income levels are represented.
