[ARCHIVED] ComEd Working in Waukegan

Under the benefits provided by the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA) legislation, ComEd will be replacing all 3,100 streetlights in Waukegan to high efficiency LEDs over the next three years.  They are starting in the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th Wards.  The LEDs will reduce costs by approximately $100,000 annually and last longer than the current lights.  In addition, ComEd is working with the City to improve the efficiency of its buildings and assessing trees trapped under the power lines for removal to avoid outages.

In the meantime, if you notice a streetlight out in your area, you can report it directly here. In most cases it takes approximately 10 days to repair. You may also download an app to report the outage on the go!
