Administrative Citations are utilized in the areas of enforcement of property maintenance, housing code, zoning violations, and fire violations. Administrative Hearings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday's of every month at 1:30pm in the Council Chambers located on 2nd floor in City Hall. This remedy is designed to address the violations in front of a Hearing Officer. Fines can be assessed up to $750.00 per day for each code violation.
If you will not be able to attend on the hearing date listed on the citation you may request a one time continuance by completing the following online form PETITION FOR CONTINUANCE Once submitted, the form will be sent automatically to staff for processing and you will receive a response within 7 days with a new hearing date.
If you have received notice of maximum fine and missed your hearing date, you may file a one time petition to set aside the default judgment within 21 days of your original hearing. Please fill out the following online form PETITION TO SET ASIDE FORM. Once completed, the form will be sent to staff for processing and you will receive a response within 7 days with a new hearing date.
